| Description |
26885 Lake Shore Resort complex. Deteriorated but still recognizable is the old Lake Shore resort complex built in 1926. Swimming pool, swim-suit rental building on lower and upper left. Building in background on right was commissary where soft drinks and hot dogs were sold. Peter Knudsen and Mrs. Zola Franklin had the contract for concessions at the commissary for the few years the resort was in business. Picture was taken summer of 1969. One of the present owners, Lavell Johnson, stands to the right of the bathing-suit rental building. Giant trees in background were planted by original owners & builders-Charles and Elvira Clawson. |
