Additional Information Image was scanned from color slide. The Kamakura Period of Japan ran from 1185-1333 and was established by the Kamakura Shogunate, particularly by the shogunate Minamoto no Yoritomo. The Kamakura Period was marked by a feudal-like societal system. The Kushibiki Hachimangu Shrine is associated with the Nanbu clan. It houses a hall of samurai armor considered national treasures as well as other cultural assets.
