Description |
At the time this image was captured, the Wells Fargo Express building was the only intact building in Silver Reef, Utah and was being used by the Western Gold and Uranium Company. Settled in 1866, silver was soon discovered in a sandstone ledge. By the 1880s the reef was mined out and the town abandoned. |
