Description |
James Bacon is pictured in his Boy Scout uniform. He was involved scouts for most of his life. He was chariman of the Roosevelt District Committee. James was born to William and Florence Bacon on March 20, 1893. He was instrumental in establishing the Uintah Indian Mission and was president during the time the chapel was built. He was also active in politics and served as Republican precinct chairman for many years. He was the county assessor, municipal party chairman, county weed supervisor, deputy water commissioner, and field supervisor for Utah Crop Improvement Association. He never married. He died October 23, 1973. |
