Description |
When Lou Arnold purchased the Blue Moon Saloon in 1969, he had a German Shepherd named Sidney as his sidekick. Sidney was hit by a car in 1972. His broken leg was set crookedly. Gangreen set it and the leg had to be amputated. Since the dog followed Arnold around on his three legs, he renamed his establishment the Three-Legged Dog Saloon. When the dog died in 1983, it was buried alongside the saloon and a headstone that reads "Finest Kind Friend" sits there today in memory of this friend to all the pool hall men. The Saloon closed in the early 1990's. It was known worldwide by motorcyclist. It has become the town museum by Bud Cooper. The museum contains relics from many other businesses. |
