In the summer of 1952, J.C. Anderson, local manager for Utah Power & Light Co., reported that a 1000 kilowatt diesel-electric generating unit would be installed at the company's Vernal plant to help meet the city's growing demands for electricity. It would be the largest of the six generating units at the plant. Here are three unidentified men looking at machinery and materials at the Power Station, probably on Vernal Avenue. |
