The Ignatio Stage stop was constructed by the Uintah Railway as a point on the toll road. It replace the White River Stage stop that was a couple miles down stream. Ignatio sat on a hill on the south side of the White River. These buildings are on the edge of the hill and not seen is the White River between the buildings and the cliffs. Those living in Ignatio were the families who ran the stage stop and toll bridge over the river. The abandoned buildings were bulldozed over when the new bridge and road were built. |
