Description |
The Kingsbury Congregational Church is located on the block of 100 East 100 North. It was built about 1904 and named for Dr. D. J. Kingsbury. It was a haven for various faiths to come worship. The church was used until 1961 when a new church was built. It was also used for additional classes for the Wilcox Academy. the Willcox Academy at left, was built in 1906. In 1910 tge school took the name Willcox Academy. It was the first school in the Uinta Basin to offer a four-year academic course preparatory for college. The academy closed in 1922. |
