Description Standing cow ruin, Canyon del Muerto, Canyon de Chelly National Monument, Arizona. A primitive ruin featured by the unusual pictograph of a cow and calf. Seldom can a Navajo be enticed to enter the ruin of a prehistoric dwelling, called by them the 'home of the old people'. this ruin, however, is used as a storehouse by the local people, and in the fall is the cite of a corn husking bee attended by a large group of Navajo women.
