Description Black and white exterior photographs of a Navajo baby tied onto a cradle board resting against shrubs behind it. The footrest, the two backboards with a V-shape, and the curved bow over the baby's head are visible in the photograph. Traditionally, the ties on cradle boards were made from buckskin. It difficult to tell if the ties in this photograph are buckskin or some kind of cloth
