Description Black and white interior photograph of a young Navajo woman and man buying food and other supplies from the trader's wife in the shop, perhaps a trading post. Several items common to a store can be seen in the photograph, including a large scale, a display case, a wooden keg, and various boxes and containers. The woman at the counter is holding a pencil and also has a small pad of paper next to her hands. Two of the items being purchased are two large, lidded jars labeled coffee; another item is labeled saltine wafers. A vehicle can be seen through the two windows of the building. The two shoppers are wearing traditional Navajo clothing and jewelry. The clerk is wearing a floral-patterned apron and several bracelets.
