Description A small airplane crash landed at the foot of Diamond Mountain. The small airplane was flying from Rock Springs, Wyoming, to Grand Junction, Colorado. The pilot was unable to get enough altitude and the visibility was poor so he put the airplane down. He was stuck in the airplane for four days until he was reported missing and a search was conducted. He was taken to the Vernal Airport and then to the Uintah Basin Medical Center where he was treated for frostbite. William H. Harrison Jr. was from Grand Junction.
