Description Black and white exterior photograph of a young man sitting on a horse in Monument Valley. "Gouldings" refers to Harry Goulding and his wife Leone (nicknamed Mike) who purchased 640 acres next to Monument Valley in 1921. They traded with the Navajo people out of a tent until 1928, when the Gouldings completed construction of an old stone trading post. The Gouldings lived on the second floor of the trading post
