Description Men are seen shearing sheep at the Bonanza Shearing Plant. Shearers were paid by the number of sheep shorn. A typical day was 100 sheep. In the early days their pay was eight cents a head and they the 1950's it increade to 75 cents. Sheep shearing was a strenuous job requiring the shearer to remain in a bending position for most of the day.
