The committee members for the Uintah Basin Industrial Convention for 1936 were, Charles W. Walker of Myton, president; George A. Wilson, secretary treasurer; E. Peterson, Campbell Lister, Jane Murray, George E. Phillips, Ray E. Dillman, Mrs. George H. Harrison and J. A. Cheney. They are not listed in order.The Uintah Basin Industrial Convention began in Fort Duchesene in 1923 and still continues today. Representatives from universities and colleges around the state gave lectures on topics such as agriculture, livestock, poultry, irrigation development and home building. Entertainment, games and sports were enjoyed by the crowd. Craft, agriculture, buisness and Indian displays were available for people to look through. |
