Ute men and women enjoy a lively game of Shinny. Shinny is a game played by men and women using a three foot long stick with a broad curved end to hit a ball made of rawhide. The ball is driven over the opponents goal much like hockey. Often times the balls were perfecty round rocks the size of a golf ball. The game was often played by women only. |
