Description Railroad stop at LeMay, Utah. LeMay was a rise of land in the Great Salt Lake Desert north of Wendover. Although called an island, is was surrounded by salt beds, mud, and alkaline flats. A letter from the donor, W. W. Miller, reads, 'I lived there in 1913-1914, if one can call that living. I was seven years old. My father, W. P. Miller ran the power house for the S.P. Block Signal System. A Mr. Hutchinson was the night man. The other two inhavitants of the town were the telegraph opertor and my step-mother. She was a Downey from kemmerer Wyoming. Her mother I believe was a Browning from Ogden. I was glad to get away. There were of course no other kids and jackrabbits and coyotes make lousy pets.'
