Description |
Jennie Burton and an unidentified man are sitting horseback near a river. Jennie was born November 5, 1892 on her families ranch on the banks of the Green River in Jensen, Utah. She was raised by her Uncle Ike and Ann Burton due to her father's death. She attended school at the Wasatch Academy and after returned to Vernal to teach at the Wilcox Academy for ten years. She married Forrest Powell in 1920. They moved to Beverly Hills, California. They made their home there for many years. She had two children, Curton Powell and Virginia Powell. She passed away October 27, 1980 and is buried in the Maeser Cemetery. |
