Description |
Don B. Colton was a prominent citizen of Uintah County. He was born to Sterling Driggs and Nancy Colton on September 15, 1876. He married Grace Stringham in 1908. He was a responible level-headed man and was honest and showed much integrity with his fellow man. He was president of Uintah Academy, He was mission president in Salt Lake City for 14 years, he was State Senator, he was president of Uintah Stake, he was president of the Uintah Telephone Company, Vernal Express, Vernal Building and Investment vice president of Ashley Cooperative. He was a farmer and rancher and was instrumental in the Taylor Grazing Act. He was a lawyer and practiced in Uintah County. He died August 1, 1952. |
