N.G. Sowards (1862-1946) was a teacher at the Bingham School in Maeser.Stella Vernon Thacker (1901-1997) is third from the left in this photo. This school was located at the northwest corner of the Maeser town section in Maeser, Utah. (2500 West 500 North) This building was a two room brick building. It served the community between 1893-1911. in 1911, the Bingham School property was sold to the Maeser Ward Relief Society for $500. The brick in this buildin was subsequently used in the construction of the Maeser Ward Chapel in 1929. |
