Receipts for services rendered by L. H. Becraft's repair shop in Ogden, Utah, from 1905 and 1908. Louis Henry Becraft owned a bicycle repair shop and sporting goods store at the intersection of 24th Street and Grant Avenue in Ogden, Utah, that grew to include the first automobile repair garage and dealership in Utah. Becraft is purported to have owned the first gasoline powered automobile in Utah, and, along with mechanic Ralph Grange, is attributed with the first automobile trip from Ogden, Utah, to Salt Lake City, Utah, in 1900; the trip lasted six hours. |
