Description |
Gathering of Scofield residents and caskets at the railroad depot. Some left Scofield to bury their dead in other parts of Utah or the country after the mining disaster. The May 1, 1900 explosion in the Winter Quarters No. 4 mine greatly affected the town of Scofield, killing many of the mine employees. |
