Communities--Mining Towns--Sliver Mines--Vernal, Utah |
Description |
Parson City was located on the mountain north of Vernal which is now included in the Ashley National Forest. It was a mining community near Bullionville and Dyer Mine. In the August 14, 1983 newspaper it stated that the assay from the Uintah was 64 ounces in silver and they had an 18 inch vein of that kind of ore besides a considerable more low grade ore in the same mine. This made the this piece of property very valuable. |
