Description | Typed transcripts of three letters found in the John W. Young papers. First letter, dated May 2, 1881, is from J. W. Smith to J. W. Young. Second letter, dated August 16, 1883, is from Thomas S. Sedgwick, land agent for the Atlantic and Pacific Railroad Comapny, to Joseph H. Richards at Saint Joseph, Arizona, and concerns an effort to purchase land. Third letter, dated May 31, 1884, is incomplete, lacking the end with the signature, but is addressed to John W. Young of St. Joseph, Arizona, concerning the difficulty of obtaining title to the land. |
