View (from Old Salt Lake City Hall / Salt Lake City Council Hall) of Salt Lake City, Utah. The Octagon house belonged to William S. Godbe and was near the corner of Second (2nd) South and Second (2nd) East. The corner lot was later purchased by the Presbyterian Church. A church was erected. School was held there. The Godbe residence became a girl's dormitory. The large building farther to the left became a boy's dormitory. Donor: Robert C. Mitchell. |
