Description |
Powell Expedition (2nd). This cabin was built on the site of old Fort Robidoux about (error) opposite the Uinta River. Here, members of the Powell party visit the cabin. Used in Utah Historical Quarterly, July 1960 and Vol. 15; 1947. Parley Dodd's Cabin - 1871. ID by journals of F.M. Bishop and S.V. Jones. Erroneously termed Ft. Ribidoux in some of Powell journals. Built on the site of fort constructed in 1830s at mouth of White River. Green River - Cabin at "Fort Robidoux" (-error, see above) opposite mouth of Uinta. 1871.
