Subject Dinosaur National Monument; Car--Early
Description This photo was taken after the heavy rainstorm most of the night of August 30, 1937. There was much damage and large boulders were moved when a flash flood came down Camp Gulch. The debris can be seen pilled against the rocks. Much of the rock lining of the culvert was destroyed. One of the worker's dog was killed. It's body can been seen in the debris in the lower right. A group of men from the CWA (Civilian Works Administration) and the FERA (Federal Emergency Relief Administration) worked and lived at the Monument under the supervision of Dr. Albert C. Boyle, geologist and custodian of the Dinosaur National Monument.
