Carolina Lopez discusses her early experiences in school, and receiving demerits for speaking Spanish instead of English in school. She discusses the discrimination she experienced moving to Utah from New Mexico. She talks about her father's experiences serving in the military and working as a farmer and the Bingham mines. Lopez also recounts her own work raising her children, driving a forklift, and working in a hospital. She also talks about political points of view in her family
