Additional Information "Joe Hill was a labor organizer and member of the Industrial Workers of the World (the "Wobblies"). He was also a songwriter and produced numerous songs related to the struggles of working people. He was in Salt Lake City in 1914 at the time of the murder of a grocer named John Morrison, and authorities arrested him for the deed. He was convicted and executed in 1915, based on weak evidence, and became a martyr for the labor movement."--wiki
