In 1902 the equestrian bronze sculpture replaced a bust of General San Martin. The statue is the work of the sculptor Jose García, while the pedestal made of stones brought from the Andes Mountains is work of Torcuato Tasso. The sculptural set includes the bust of the Republic, a condor, a cannon. |
