Description |
Albert Garcia discusses his family history with his father coming to America to work primarily as a miner, and talks about the mining community in Lark, Utah. He discusses his family's home in Vallecitos which was constructed in 1778. Garcia discusses his sister's encouragement for him to pursue his education at the University of Utah and his involvement with the Air National Guard. He recounts his experiences with racism and discrimination as well as his work doing Equal Employment Opportunity counseling. |
