Title |
Lake Partitioning and other playa modifications |
Date |
2024 |
Description |
Runoff from the Bear River currently flows north of Fremont Island and to the Union Pacific Breach. Diverting this runoff south of Fremont Island could result in better mixing, in better salinity management in the south arm. Other partitioning options exist that could optimize occasionally competing on-lake interests like brine shrimp harvesting and mineral extraction. |
