Description |
Ida Philips (1910-2001) was a prominent citizen in Roosevelt. She was involved in many clubs. She worked for the Uintah School District for a time. She worked at the Indian School, was the principal at Alterra for several years and taught fifth grade at Roosevelt Elementary. While teaching elementary she earned the "Governor's Conservation Education Award". She was honored for years of concern and devotion to the students in teaching conservation of natural resources. She moved from the area after retiring. |
