Description |
Taken from Castonguay's "Les Voyageurs." Provot, Etiene (1782-1850). Hunter, trapper and guide. Was one of the first white men to have seen the Great Salt Lake. In 1820's and 1830's Provot spent much time in the Salt Lake Valley. Provo river and Provo City are named in honor of this man. A French Canadian. |
