Description |
Acute zonal occult outer retinopathy was recently described by Gass. It is a clinical syndrome characterized by acute loss of zones of outer retinal function, with minimal fundus changes initially. Vitreous inflanunation is variably present. The electroretinogram abnormal, and visual field loss may be permanent. |
