Salt Lake Collegiate Institute Baseball Team

A group photograph of a young mens' baseball team portrays ten young men sitting in two rows. The players are sitting on steps in front of a building with five boys in each of the rows. They are dressed in dark baseball uniforms with short sleeves, collars, and laces down the fronts of the shirts. Most of the boys appear to be wearing a long sleeved light colored shirt underneath the dark top. Also, the boys are wearing knee-high socks (some striped and some dark) up to the bottom of their dark knickers. Most of them are holding baseball mitts and everyone is looking directly at the camera. The man in the middle of the front row is dressed in a dark suit and tie rather than a uniform and it's apparent that he may be the coach of the team. This man is also the only person in the photograph wearing eyeglasses. Behind the young men the cement steps lead to a mid-tone brick building with very dark double doors (only the bottom half of which are visible).
