Shapard won her heat in the 800-meter run. This was her fourth appearance in the event and finished in 2:10.39, which ranks second amongst Utah's indoor all-time performance list. In the weight throw, Grimm took fifth after an impressive 57'5.5" effort, a new personal record. Berg took ninth and had a season best throw of 55'2". Utah's 4x400-meter relay finished fourth overall, comprised of Ashley Patterson, Chelsey Kaplar, Whitney Wellington, and Shapard. Their finish time was 3:48.12, just ahead of the team from California-Fullerton in their heat. |
