Moto Ise Kono Jinja is a major shrine located on the north coast of Amanohashidate and also called Tango Ichi no Miya. Katsuogi is ornamental wooden pieces laid at right angles on mungai (thne top portion of the roof) of shrine buildings. Amanohashidate is a pine-covered sand spit whose name means "bridge to heaven."
