Taken from the original oil painting by Frederick S. Dellenbaugh. Evidently the first ever made, showing the now famous resort city in its earliest days with large adobe fort like ranch house and cabin with in enclosure. In the foreground the familiar mountains are limned in with broad stroke. The painting measures 17 x 27(1/2) inches and is signed in full: F.S. Dellenbaugh. Los Vegas, Nevada, Mch. 16, 1876. 800.00.
