The Utah women's cross country team placed 11th at the NCAA Mountain Regional; Junior Sarah Feeny led the Utes finishing in 25th place. Feeny paced the Utes finishing the six-kilometer course in a time of 20:46.6. Redshirt freshman Cara Woolnough followed in Feeny finishing in 47th place with a time of 21:14.2. Rounding out the top-5 scorers for the Utes was sophomore Bella Williams, senior Sadie Wassum, and freshman Sophie Ryan. Williams finished in 56th (21:21.9), Wassum captured 77th (21:41.1), and Ryan earned 89th (21:56.7). Also running for the Utah was freshman Kennedy Powell who finished in 97th place with a time of 22:05.1. As a team, the Utes earned 11th place with a total of 294 team points. No 1 New Mexico took home the team title with a total of 41 team points. No. 4 Colorado finished in second with 53 team points and No. 9 BYU earned third with 85 team points. No. 22 Southern Utah captured 4th with 155 team points and Air Force finished in 5th with 170 team points. |
