Description Black and white daylight exterior photograph of Navajo women, children and a man outside the trading post. Them an is sitting on the ground, the women are tending to the children. The women are wearing long skirts and long-sleeved blouses, some adorned with buttons, and some are wearing necklaces. There is a dog lying on the ground near the group. Two outbuildings can also be seen in the photograph. The Gouldings (Harry and Leone, his wife) completed construction of the trading post in 1928. They lived in an apartment on the second floor. The Gouldings traded with the Navajo starting in 1921, and operated out of a tent prior to the construction of the stone building
