Title |
Elevating Urban Design Standards in the Salt Lake City Central Business Distrcit |
Date |
2020 |
Description |
Over the last several years, Salt Lake City has been working towards the codification of urban design standards for several of its zoning districts in order to promote a walkable environment and as a tool to support the city's master plans. Design standards have been defined for residential, commercial, manufacturing, and downtown districts, as well certain special purpose districts. The standards are not currently comprehensive for all district types; the residential district, for example, includes standards for approximately one-third of residential zones. The downtown districts similarly lack a comprehensive set of design standards, but Salt Lake City is working on changing that. |
