Description |
The Decedent Affairs department at University of Utah Health was created in August 2019. The creation of this department was formed due to process breakdowns which were consistently occurring in the death process. Decedent Affairs developed a data tracking; mechanism for all Medical Examiner Cases. This data tracker supports when a death is not reported to the Medical Examiner's Office and when the death meets Medical Examiner Criteria. Decedent Affairs will continue to monitor error rate on a weekly basis to watch for signals or changes in OME cases not reported. |
