To: 1. Identify techniques for history taking and examination of children at various stages of visual development, and to understand how and why these techniques differ from those used for adults; 2. Demonstrate clinical skills which will reliably identify those children who require further evaluation for possible neurologic causes of visual disability; 3. Arrive at a differential diagnosis of the etiology of visual loss in a visually impaired child; 4. Choose appropriate laboratory, electrophysiologic, and radiologic tests for evaluation of children at risk for neurologic causes of visual loss. |
