Neuro-Ophthalmology News 75th Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Neurology T he 75th American Academy of Neurology (AAN) Annual Meeting was held April 22–27, 2023, in Boston, MA. As always, the members of NANOS (North American Neuro-Ophthalmology Society) had a strong presence of quality, engaging material. In addition to several poster sessions where various neuro-ophthalmology works were presented, Drs. Wayne Cornblath, Heather Moss, and Eric Eggenberger led a Hot Topics session on Ophthalmic Imaging to discuss the use of fundus photography and optical coherence tomography, along with real-life cases and pitfalls. Next, there was an informative Scientific Platform session moderated by Drs. Dan Gold and Laura Balcer followed by a Skills Workshop where participants learned essential neuro-ophthalmic and neurovestibular examination techniques (Fig. 1). The next morning, Drs. Dean Mackay, Melissa Ko, and Leanne Stunkel discussed Emergency Room NeuroOphthalmology. Dr. Dan Gold then shared his expertise on wiggly eyes in a neuro-otology course. The ever-popular and high-yield 3-part course discussing vision loss, optic neuropathies, papilledema, optic neuritis, visual fields, anisocoria, diplopia, ocular motility disorders, and nystagmus was presented by Drs. Steve Galetta, Nancy Newman, and Valerie Biousse. Dr. Kathleen Digre led an informal discussion of the importance and logistics of sabbaticals. The 76th annual meeting of the AAN will be held in Denver, CO, April 13–18, 2024, and is sure to highlight a variety of neuroophthalmology sessions! Meagan D. Seay, DO Kathleen B.
