Description | There is considerable interest in the ability of small mammals to return to their home ranges after displacement. Some of the earliest literature on the subject appeared in 1931 (Murie, et. a1) but the majority of the work has been conducted within the past 15 years (Schleidt, 1951; Lindenlaub, 1955, 1960; Lehmann, 1956; Layne, 1957; Harrison, 1958;. Broadbooks, 1961; Griffo, 1961; Seidel, 1961; Fisler, 1962, 1966; 'remnan, 1962; Murie, 1963; Gentry, 1964; and Robinson, et al, 1965). |
