Image was scanned from color slide. Hiroshige III (born Gotō Torakichi (後藤寅吉, ca. 1843-1894) was a Japanese woodblock artist who was a student of the famed Utagawa Hiroshige. He was also referred to as Andō Tokubei (安藤徳兵). He was active during the Meiji Period, and sometimes depicted the presence of Westerners in Japan, as in this scene |
