Marriner S. Eccles correspondence related to invitations, 1974 [02]

Correspondence from 1974 between Marriner S. Eccles and various people and groups requesting his participation and attendance at various events. Due to his busy schedule and dividing his time between residences in Salt Lake City and San Francisco, Mr. Eccles declined many more invitations than he accepted. Among the invitations were one to attend the dedication of the Huntington coal-fired electricity plant in Emery County, Utah, on 30 September 1974, and oe to attend a special energy Management Seminar under the auspices of the U.S. Department of Commerce, to be held in Salt Lake City on 5 December 1974. Hugh Scott, U.S. Senator from Pennsylvania, invited Mr. Eccles to a reception in honor of Senator Robert Taft, Jr., in Washington D.C. on 24 September 1974.
