Description With the steady growth of the Glines area it became necessary for a new chapel. In 1943 Bishop John B.Eaton authorized a building committee, headed by Don Batty, to organized fund raisers for the new chapel. In 1944 every man and boy of the ward worked during the summer months to get lumber from the mountains. A dance was also held at the Imperial Hall in February of that same year. Woodey Searle sponsored the dance and all the proceeds were donated to the building. On March 3, 1947, ward members gather, had a short devotional, and started to raze the building which had served their purposed for over fifty years. The new building was dedicated July 24, 1949 by President David O. McKay, counselor in the first presidency of the church. New Glines Chapel located at 1510 West Hwy 40, was constructed at about $150,000.
