Margaret Elizabeth Huffman Haslem

Margaret Haslem was born October 19, 1865 in Coalville, Utah, a daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth Huffman. She married Samuel Haslem on July 20, 1887 in Evanston, Wyoming. They came to the Uinta Basin in 1893 and eventually purchased the Burton Ranch in Jensen, Utah. This is where they spent the remainder of their days. Margaret was an outstanding neighbor, always willing and ready to help is another was ill or in trouble. She served a midwife many times. Her husband passed away on July 12, 1924 and she was alone for many years, passing in November of 1955.
